About Ray Culp III

At present, Ray Culp III presides over Brentwood, Tennessee’s Culp Consulting Group, which he formed in 2008. In this capacity, he advises clients on tax and business matters such as investment strategies, conservation easements, mergers and acquisitions, and general operational principles. A savvy investor, Ray Culp III has sold a number of timber tracts, large tracts of raw land, a water tower and accompanying industrial land, and other types of properties.

When working with clients, Ray Culp III relies on his extensive formal education and professional experience. He completed his undergraduate studies in business administration at Middle Tennessee State University and later entered the Nashville School of Law, which granted him a juris doctor in the mid-1990s. He formerly served as a registered options principal and stockbroker with J.C. Bradford and Company and headed his own law firm from 1996 to 2006.

In his free time, Culp enjoys outdoor recreational activities such as hunting, farming, and fishing. He has traveled extensively, having pursued game in Argentina, the Canadian Rockies,Mexico, and many states in the U.S. His other hobbies include watching football and sampling Southern food.
